Where your Teen Might be Hiding their Hallucinogens

According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse, hallucinogens are particularly popular among teenagers and college students. Most hallucinogens come on paper called blotters or in pill form. These are easy to hide unless you know where to look for them.

In Pens and Highlighters

People hiding hallucinogens can take the back or internal workings of a pen out. Then they put the drugs inside the pen or highlighter and then replace the back. Once it is closed the pen or highlighter will usually work and completely conceal the drugs.

Between the Pages of Books or Magazines

The paper and smaller forms of hallucinogens can be easily hidden in books or magazines. The paper form of hallucinogens such as LSD is almost impossible to detect in between the pages of a large book.

In Jewelry

Hiding their Hallucinogens

Some hallucinogens such as LSD can be easily hidden between book pages.

Lockets and rings are popular hiding places for a teen that plans on taking the drugs with them to a club or rave. They can simply put the drugs into the jewelry and go anywhere that they want. There are a variety of jewelry companies that make pieces just for that purpose.

In an Ordinary Pill Bottle

When the hallucinogens are in pill form, they are easy to hide inside a bottle of aspirin or vitamins. It is very easy to hide a smaller pill among other pills. If your teen has aspirin or medication that only they take it is possible for them to hide the drugs in the bottle with the other pills.

In a Bag of Candy

MDMA or ecstasy is often placed inside a bag of candy or inside the candy itself. This way the hallucinogen may be taken without suspicion by simply grabbing a piece of candy. This is also a popular thing for drug dealers to do when they are carrying a large amount of the drug.

Wrapped in Gum Wrappers

Paper hallucinogens can easily be wrapped into gum wrappers. This is another popular way to take the drug as well as hide the drug. All the person has to do is put the gum that the drug is stuck to in their mouth and chew.

In Baggies in the Toilet Tank

Not many people check the toilet tank regularly. A sealed freezer bag or other sealed back is placed inside the tank and tied on with some string. The string prevents the baggy from going down the drain when the toilet is flushed.

On High Shelves

Do not underestimate plain sight hiding places. On the top of high shelves or behind books on bookshelves are another popular hiding place. The drugs may be accessed by simply reaching up if a person knows where to look.
